March 5, 2005 – May 28, 2005
We are proud to present our most recent acquisitions of important California Modernist works of art from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s.
The artworks include the introduction of Modernism to Northern California in the mid-1920s by Otis Oldfield; Depression-era works by Victor Arnautoff, John Langley Howard and others; early abstractions by Richard Ayer and Leah Rinne Hamilton; several exquisite portraits and still lifes; and many other extraordinary artworks.
A color brochure of the exhibition is available upon request.
