Special Exhibition: The Magical Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915
July 1 - September 15, 2020: 105 years ago a Magical City was constructed inside the City of San Francisco... that Magical City was the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition (PPIE). With the passage of legislation by Congress, San Francisco was designated to host the 1915 world’s exposition, with President Taft himself breaking ground there on October 14, 1911. From that point the City of San Francisco and its artisans began designing all aspects of the Exposition. Read More

January 4 - March 20, 2020: Our new artwork offerings in this new decade are as diverse and unique in terms of medium as they could be. From a ca. 1930 bas relief wood panel by Peter Krasnow to a 1933 tightly rendered watercolor by Alexander Cañedo to a 1915 portrait in oil of San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts by William Howell Bull, these artworks are each of disparate media but are similar in that they each are important examples by these well-exhibited artists.
